Klein and Holland given wildcards into Australian Open

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Local teenagers Brydan Klein and Isabella Holland have been awarded wildcards into next week''s Australian Open.

Klein, 19, who won the Australian Open junior title in 2007, was offered a place in the men''s singles draw after improving his ranking by 350 places last year.

Holland, 16, earned her invite after reaching the semi-finals of the qualifying playoffs.

Tournament organizers had already handed out 10 wildcard entries. The remaining two will be decided next week before the tournament starts January 19.
