Chrysler June U.S. sales down 42 percent
| DETROIT (Reuters) - Chrysler Group LLC in a sales release reported June U.S. sales down 42 percent, but added it increased U.S. retail market share to 9 percent, up more than 1 percent from June 2008. Highlights: * Says offering zero percent financing for 60 months in July * Says offering up to $4,000 consumer cash on 2009 models, other incentives in July * Says its us retail sales fell 16 percent in June from a year earlier * Says finished the month with 195,272 units in inventory, representing a 71 day supply * Says inventory down 56 percent versus June 2008 when it totaled 440,075 units * Says projects overall US auto industry sales at a 9.7 million unit annualized rate for June (Reporting by David Bailey) |
